To build a rocket in the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) in Kerbal Space Program (KSP), players will need to follow these steps:
- Open the VAB by selecting it from the game’s main menu.
- Select the parts and equipment you want to use to build your rocket. This can include engines, fuel tanks, command modules, and other parts. You can preview and select parts from the VAB’s menu on the left side of the screen.
- Assemble your rocket by dragging and dropping the selected parts onto the grid in the centre of the screen. You can rotate, flip, and position the parts as needed to create your desired design.
- Once you have assembled your rocket, use the VAB’s menu to specify its name, assign its crew, and select any additional settings or options.
- When you are satisfied with your rocket’s design, click the “Launch” button to save and launch your rocket. The game will then simulate the rocket’s flight and performance, allowing you to test and refine your design.
Let’s see how to use the construction interface, and parts toolbox, how to pick up parts and use Gizmos, set actions, onboard crew, save, load, and launch. Use M to show the map and orbits, and use the abort system. Use a basic plan, fly, and land it.
